WHICH LEVEL ARE YOU WORKING AT?

A Level 3 player can:

  • Pass over short and medium distances
  • Stop a moving ball with your foot
  • Understand the purpose of a warm up
  • Know when to dribble, pass or shoot
  • Understands basic rules such as basic fouls
  • Compare your level of skill against others

A Level 4 player can:

  • Control and pass accurately over short and medium distances
  • Dribble and tackle with confidence
  • Head the ball comfortably and shoot accurately
  • Have an effect on the game
  • Design a football specific warm-up
  • Comment on own performance highlighting strengths and areas of weakness
A Level 5 player can:
  • Control the ball with a variety of body parts and
  • pass over a range of distances to the player and space
  • Head the ball for accuracy and distance
  • Explain how fitness needs are different for different positions
  • Influence periods of the game
  • Able to use a range of tactics and formations and understand strengths and limitations of each.
